Wilmington Disaster Relief Update After 8 days of evacuation, we were able to make it back into Wilmington yesterday evening. Today, we are assessing damage and making a list of immediate needs. We will be ready to accommodate teams in about two weeks. We'll keep you posted. Teams will be used to accomplish a variety of projects from cleaning up yard and tree debris, cutting trees, tarping roofs, house cleanup, and serving when we offer meals to the public. Right now the needs in Wilmington are great as stores have very limited supplies. The needs are bottled water, non-perishable foods, baby supplies, and new packaged socks and underwear. No clothing. If you are interested in donating financially for the Relief efforts, see our website at Calvaryofwilmington.org to give securely. If you are interested in bringing a team, email Pastor Nick at pastornickkahl@gmail.com Thank you so much for all the prayers, messages of encouragement and support! Sent from my iPhone |
